SpeedGrip Upgrades and Changes

The SpeedGrip Adhesive Line is being upgraded over the next several months and we will notify you of changes as they occur.Below is a summary of the changes that we have already made:

Deletion of SpeedGrip Plastic Parts Cleaner (636425-04623)

We also eliminated the Plastic Parts Cleaner with the Best Practice procedure being to thoroughly clean the repair are with any non-petroleum based cleaner prior to sanding.  Once the part has been sanded, use only clean dry air.

Mixing Tips (18-element to be replaced 100% by 24-element)

After extensive testing, our Best Practices now recommend the use of the 24-element mixing tip (636425-04628) with all SpeedGrip Urethanes, Epoxies, Seam Sealers and Foam. These Mixing Tips ensure the most thorough automatic mixing of the 220 ml cartridges.

Adhesion Promoters Upgraded

We have upgraded our SpeedGrip Adhesion Promoters (636425-06424 and 04625). The identification of the plastic type (TPO specifically) is NO LONGER required with the upgraded formulation. Also, the new formula only needs to be applied once, as opposed to the old formula which required re-application after 15 minutes. Simply apply the adhesion promoter to any and all plastics once and that's it.

Plastic Repair Skim Coat Plus

We have deleted 636425-06116 Flexible Part Repair Epoxy Adhesive and Filler and have replaced it with 636425-06400 Plastic Repair Skim Coat-Plus. There are two key changes in the new Skim Coat. First, a mixing tip is NOT required. Simply gun the product onto a mixing board, mix with a spreader to a uniform color and apply. Cover the cartridge with the plastic cap for later use. Second, the adhesion promoter is NOT necessary with this new formulation.
